'Massively frustrating' - Rangers fans react on Twitter to 26-year-old's exit

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers have allowed attacker Harry Forrester to leave Ibrox for English League One side AFC Wimbledon on loan for the entirety of the season – and Gers fans on Twitter have wished him well.

The Ibrox giants announced via both their official Twitter account and website on Wednesday afternoon that the 26-year-old would be spending the 2017-18 back in England in the third tier.

The loan move marks Forrester’s first departure from Rangers after signing for the club from Doncaster Rovers in January 2016.

He played a big part in helping the Gers over the Scottish Championship finish line in his first few months at the club, but in the Premiership he struggled, playing just 28 times in all competitions in the last campaign, returning three goals and two assists.

Many of the Rangers fans on social media agreed that he was a talented player when reacting to his departure, but it was clear that supporters felt that it was the right move for both the club and Forrester.
