Matheus Cunha and Andre Onana react to Bryan Mbeumo’s Man United announcement

Man United players showed support on social media to an announcement regarding Bryan Mbeumo after his latest performances.

Man United have started the season in poor form, with one win in three games in the league, and Ruben Amorim’s side were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Grimsby Town.

Despite the team’s struggling start to the new campaign, one player who has impressed is Mbeumo, who has scored twice this season in all competitions.

Mbeumo joined Man United in the summer after rejecting approaches from Newcastle and Tottenham to make his dream move to the Red Devils possible.,

Now, the Cameroon international has been recognised for his latest displays by the club in a recent social media post.

Man United hand Bryan Mbeumo player of the month award

Man United have awarded Mbeumo with their August player of the month award after his impressive performances.

The official club account posted the announcement on Instagram which saw support from his teammates, with fellow new signing Matheus Cunha, Andre Onana and Bruno Fernandes all liking the post.

Mbeumo impressed on his debut against Arsenal, and while he didn’t score, he has found the net twice since, against Burnley and Grimsby.

The former Brentford winger was a major target for Amorim as the manager aimed to rebuild their attack with signings such as Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

He comes off the back of a fantastic season with the Bees, scoring 20 Premier League goals and firmly establishing himself as one of the division’s most dangerous forwards.

With the likes of Antony, Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho leaving Man United in the transfer window, hopes are high that Mbeumo can now lead the line for United.

Jadon Sancho linked with permanent Man United exit

The Red Devils saw plenty of attackers leave the club in the transfer window, and while Sancho had joined Aston Villa on loan, a permanent exit could be on the cards.

Football Insider revealed on 7 September that Sancho is attracting interest from several top clubs across Europe as he has just one year left on his deal.

The potential of agreeing a free transfer has reignited interest from clubs, and even though Sancho is currently on loan at Villa Park, he is expected to have no shortage of options when deciding his long-term future.
