Matheus Cunha digs at Wolves fans in new message after Man United backlash
Matheus Cunha angered Wolves fans earlier in the season on social media and seems to have offered a response following his move to Manchester United.
The Brazilian forward enjoyed a standout campaign at Molineux, scoring 15 Premier League goals and playing a key role in helping Wolves steer clear of relegation.
His form inevitably attracted widespread attention, and Man United triggered Cunha’s release clause earlier in the window to beat Liverpool, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest to his signature.
Despite the move, Cunha’s behaviour off and on-the-pitch it has raised eyebrows. Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett even suggested Man United’s club psychologists may need to work closely with Cunha to ensure his fiery temperament doesn’t lead to issues with referees.
Now, 26-year-old has shared a message that appears to be a subtle response to earlier controversy that saw him draw the anger from Wolves supporters during his final months at the club.

Matheus Cunha posts new Wolves message after Man United move
Back in April, Cunha caused outrage among Wolves supporters after deleting a message in which he said he would “follow his dreams” – a post that came while the season was still ongoing.
The timing of the comment drew backlash at the time, but now, having officially joined Man United and worn the shirt for the first time, Cunha shared another message on Instagram that appeared to echo the sentiment. He wrote: “It’s all about you following your dreams!”

He had signed a contract with Wolves in February despite speculation in January to help the club avoid losing him during their relegation fight. However, with a £62.5 million release clause included in the deal, Man United acted quickly to trigger it and secure his signature.
While the Brazilian’s temperament has raised some concerns, as he picked up four yellow cards and was sent off in Wolves’ FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth in March, his ability is unquestionable. On the pitch, he offers flair, versatility and a goal threat that could significantly boost United’s underperforming attack.
Tottenham could hijack Man United’s move for Bryan Mbeumo

United remain keen to strengthen in attack, but may now face an obstacle in their pursuit of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.
Football Insider revealed Tottenham could swoop in and hijack Man United’s deal for Mbeumo following the appointment of Thomas Frank as their new head coach.
The Red Devils had been seen as frontrunners for Mbeumo’s signature, but Frank’s arrival in North London could change the landscape as the Dane is believed to be keen to reunite with his 20-goal forward, who played a vital role under him at Brentford.
