Liverpool beat Wolves on 16 February at Anfield, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.

However, an incident during the match sparked controversy. Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett told Football Insider that Konate was fortunate to avoid a red card for Liverpool, claiming that he should have been sent off after committing two bookable offences in quick succession.
Hackett also suggested that Konate could have been dismissed for Liverpool after a foul on Cunha—yet referee Simon Hooper took no action.
Ultimately, the Frenchman was substituted at half-time following two incidents that could have resulted in a red card.

Wolves need Matheus Cunha firing on all cylinders until the end of the season

Cunha was linked with a move away from Wolves during the January transfer window, with clubs such as Arsenal and Nottingham Forest expressing interest in the forward.
Although he signed a new deal with the club, Football Insider revealed that Cunha is likely to leave Wolves in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been the club’s standout performer this season, starting 23 of his 26 appearances across all competitions. He has scored 13 goals and provided four assists, proving to be crucial for the club.
Wolves managed to fend off interest in the forward and his goals remain vital, even though his strike against Liverpool was merely a consolation.
The Midlands club are currently battling relegation, sitting just two points above the drop zone. However, with Cunha firing, there is hope that they can avoid the drop and secure Premier League survival.
