Matheus Cunha sends ‘cold’ message to Wolves sensation Pedro Lima

Wolves Forward Matheus Cunha took to social media to send a message to young teammate Pedro Lima ahead of their Premier League game with Liverpool.

The 25-year-old played a key role in Vitor Pereira’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Championship side Blackburn in their previous fixture, scoring their second goal and sending them to the fifth round.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official Keith Hackett believes Blackburn should have had a penalty, and the result could have been different.

Cunha has signed a new Wolves deal having been linked with a move away throughout the January transfer window.

Football Insider revealed (February 8) that Wolves will definitely sell Cunha in the summer regardless, with several Premier League clubs interested in securing his services.

The Brazilian has undoubtedly been their best player so far this season, starting 22 of his 25 games across all competitions, scoring 12 goals, and providing four assists in his 1987 minutes on the field.

Lima, 18, is yet to make much of an impression at Wolves, starting three of his four games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing one assist in his 214 minutes on the field.

Cunha took to Instagram ahead of the game with Liverpool to share an image of the two Brazilians complaining about the weather, saying: “Cold as hell homie.”

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Keith Wyness has suggested that Wolves are in danger of breaching PSR and could be set to sell a number of players, including Cunha, to help appease their situation.

Wolves remain in the fight against relegation, sitting in 17th with 19 points, one above 18th-placed Leicester City going into this weekend’s fixtures.
