Matheus Cunha sends message to Wolves fans after Man United latest
Matheus Cunha had another cryptic message for Wolves fans as speculation builds around a possible move to Man United.
Wolves continued their impressive resurgence under Vitor Pereira over the weekend with a commanding 3-0 win over already relegated Leicester City.
Cunha opened the scoring in the first half, before Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rodrigo Gomes added to the tally in the second period.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider that Man United are likely to spend around £100 million on both Cunha and Liam Delap amid potential summer moves.
Man United fans are increasingly convinced that Cunha is heading to Old Trafford after footage emerged of the Brazilian deep in conversation with Ruben Amorim before their sides faced off on 20 April.
Despite the constant speculation, Cunha sent another message to Wolves supporters, making it clear that for now, his focus remains firmly on his football.
Matheus Cunha fuels transfer rumours with message after Wolves win
Following Wolves’ emphatic victory, Cunha posted a cryptic message on Instagram, beginning with: “Just not much to say”.
He continued: “Just thanking God, my family and friends for everything. 15 goals and a record for the Brazilian with the most goals in a season achieved. OBRIGADO. Congratulations to everyone for the performance.”
The post drew attention from players across the Premier League, with likes from Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, and Manchester City’s Matheus Nunes.
Questions around the Brazilian forward’s future have lingered for months, but speculation has intensified in recent weeks.
Football Insider first reported back in November that Manchester United had expressed interest in Cunha, and although he signed a new contract with Wolves in February, rumours about a move have not gone away.
The new deal includes a £62.5 million release clause, and it appears the Red Devils are serious about triggering it.
