Matheus Cunha sends message to Wolves fans after source’s contract reveal

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha has taken to social media to thank the fans after he was named the club’s Player of the Month for November.

The 25-year-old has been on fire so far this season, starting 13 of his 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing three assists in a total of 1177 minutes of action.

Despite Cunha’s impressive form, Wolves continue to struggle, languishing in 19th place with just nine points from 14 Premier League matches and a league-high 36 goals conceded.

The Brazilian was the obvious choice for the club’s November award, making six goal contributions in four games throughout the month.

Gary O’Neil’s side fell to a devastating 4-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Everton on Wednesday (December 4), marking their ninth league defeat of the season.

Football Insider revealed (December 7) that the club’s dismal start to the season means Cunha is hesitant to sign a new deal amid fears they could be relegated.

The Striker remains focused, however, taking to Instagram to thank the fans and the club for his most recent award.

Committed to the cause, Cunha’s captions said: “The only thing I can say is thank you. You will always have my best.”

Wolves face West Ham in what could be an early six-pointer at the London Stadium on Monday (December 9).
