Mathys Tel sends passionate message to Tottenham fans after win v Man United
Mathys Tel sent a message to Tottenham fans on social media following a hard-earned 1-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday.
The 19-year-old, who unleashed a total of seven shots at Andre Onana’s goal, has already made three appearances for the Lilywhites since joining on loan from Bayern Munich.
His arrival was hugely important to Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou continued to struggle with Dominic Solanke’s absence, and the forward has brought a breath of fresh air to Hotspur Way.
Although Tel could not hit the back of the net against the Red Devils, James Maddison’s 13th-minute goal against Man United was enough to claim all three points, and the relief amongst supporters was clearly shared by the player.
Mathys Tel already fighting tooth and nail for Tottenham
Having played the whole 90 minutes, the Bayern loanee put his body on the line for all three points, throwing himself into tackles, making runs in behind, and pressing the opposition defence.
He was absolutely exhausted by the end of the game, and taking to his Instagram story on Monday [17 February], Tel wrote: “Give everything until the end! That’s us.”

It already seems the youngster knows exactly what it takes to play for the Lilywhites, and even how difficult this campaign might be as Spurs look to climb back up the Premier League table.
Daniel Levy could strike incredible summer deal already
Football Insider verdict
Tel is already settling into life in North London, and while it may only be a temporary move, Daniel Levy has the chance to pull the trigger on a £50million move in the summer.
While the owner has often been criticised for his lack of investment on the pitch, big-money moves for Solanke, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert have been made recently.
It might seem unlikely that Tel would be open to staying in England on a permanent basis given his decision to originally turn the Spurs move down.
However, with the young Frenchman already becoming quite an important figure in Postecoglou’s plans this season, the promise of minutes on the pitch might change his mind.
His presence has alleviated some of the pressure on the attacking lineup, with several stars still sidelined through injury, and Spurs fans have, understandably, taken a liking to him so far.
