Mathys Tel to surely start against Arsenal – Thomas Frank’s decision is made for him by Tottenham star
Tottenham supporters will be delighted with the latest Mathys Tel update away from the Premier League.
Over the summer, Tel’s loan move from Bayern Munich to Spurs was made permanent, for a fee of around £30million.
The Frenchman has had a tough start to the season, struggling for minutes under new manager Thomas Frank.
However, in the final game before the international break, Tel came off the bench and scored during Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Mathys Tel in form for France
Tel has been a regular in the France Under-21 side over the past two years and was called up once again this week for two European Championship qualifiers.
The young Les Bleus side drew 1-1 with Switzerland on Friday (14 November), with the Tottenham man playing the full 90 minutes up front.
France then played Faroe Islands on Monday (17 November), and Tel was the hero, scoring the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
After the former Bayern Munich forward’s winner, Gerald Baticle’s side sit top of Group C on 10 points, and looked prime to qualify for the Under-21 European Championships that take place in 2027.
Mathys Tel to start against Arsenal
After two goals in three games for club and country, Tel will be high on confidence and itching to get back to Tottenham.
In the first Premier League game after the international break, Frank’s side face table-topping Arsenal in the North London derby at the Emirates.

A win would see Tottenham close the gap to their arch-rivals to just five points, and give them the belief to kick on ahead of a busy run of fixtures.
With the likes of Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani out injured, Tel may be Spurs’ best centre-forward option for the derby.
Tottenham supporters will hope the 20-year-old can keep his good run of form going and fire his side to a famous victory at the Emirates.
