Matt Le Tissier drops verdict on Leeds sacking Daniel Farke
Daniel Farke could be facing the sack at Leeds if they drop into the relegation zone with a loss against Aston Villa this weekend.
That is according to Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier, who has exclusively told Football Insider that he believes the Leeds boss has done a good job so far but will be under pressure if they go into the bottom three soon.
Leeds have experienced a mixed start to life back in the Premier League after they won the Championship with 100 points last season.
Daniel Farke was linked with an exit in the summer as doubts lingered around his previous top-flight experience, but the board stood by him and invested in the squad during the transfer window.
The Whites currently sit 16th in the table with three wins from their first 11 games, and are just a point above the bottom three with the teams below them in better form as it stands.

Leeds need to keep up their impressive home form vs Villa amid Farke sack talk
Two of Leeds’ three league victories so far this term have come at Elland Road, while their two draws have also come on home turf, so it is clear where they are at their best and are set to pick up most of their points this season.
Their opponents in West Yorkshire this Sunday (23 November), Aston Villa, have lost successive games on the road against Go Ahead Eagles and Liverpool, meaning they are low on confidence away from Villa Park right now.
Football Insider revealed on 10 November that Farke could soon be sacked by Leeds, with fans calling for his head after a string of disappointing displays.
Leeds chiefs want to give Farke until Christmas, according to Football Insider‘s sources, but a decision could be made earlier than that if they continue their current shoddy form of just one win in six games.
Le Tissier admits Farke could be under pressure if Leeds drop into the bottom three
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Southampton and England striker Le Tissier backed Farke to continue in charge of Leeds for now but admitted that he could well face the sack soon if they are under real threat of relegation.
He said: “I think it’s always difficult when a team gets promoted. As long as they sit outside the relegation places, the manager’s got quite a strong case.
“The pressure really comes on, I think, when they fall into that bottom three, and if they were to lose at the weekend, there is a possibility that they could drop into that bottom three.
“I mean, it’s fairly unlikely, given the other fixtures, but that’s when the pressure comes on. But I think so far so good – won three, drawn two, lost six.
“I think for a team that’s come up, it’s a reasonable start. So yeah, I don’t think he (Farke) should be under immediate pressure.”
