Mavropanos reacts as West Ham send farewell message
Konstantinos Mavropanos has responded to confirmation of the latest player exit from West Ham this summer.
The 2024/25 campaign fell well below-par for the Hammers, who failed to show any consistent form under either Julen Lopetegui or Graham Potter.
Eventually they finished 14th in the final Premier League standings, with that poor form highlighting the need for a significant overhaul of the squad at the London Stadium in the transfer window.
It had already been confirmed that the likes of Lukasz Fabianski, Danny Ings, Vladimir Coufal and Aaron Cresswell will leave West Ham when their contracts expire at the end of this month.
Now, a fresh update has been issued on another player who will not be returning to Potter’s side for next season.

Kurt Zouma set to move on
Having joined West Ham from Chelsea back in the summer of 2021, Kurt Zouma made just over 100 appearances in all competitions for the club, helping them to lift the UEFA Conference League in 2023.
He was also made captain from the start of the 2023/24 season. However, he was loaned out to Saudi Arabian side Al-Orobah last summer, with just a year remaining on his contract at the London Stadium.
It recently emerged that Zouma will not return to West Ham once his contract expires this summer, and the club have now confirmed the centre-back will formally leave.
Having made that announcement, the Hammers then shared a video of some of the Frenchman’s finest moments with the club to pay tribute to his contributions.
In response, Mavropanos was among those to show his support for his departing teammate by liking that post.
West Ham have plenty of work to do in the transfer market
Football Insider Verdict
There have already been suggestions that Potter is excited about the transfer window at West Ham this summer, and the club are making good progress to ensure that can be vindicated.
These departures making space in the squad and wage budget that can be filled with new signings who ought to be able to push the Hammers back up the Premier League table.
Even so, these exits have all been expiring contracts, meaning the club are yet to bring in any transfers fees that can be reinvested, so departures are still likely to be needed.
Mohammed Kudus is one who West Ham could look to sell, and that deal would certainly help to boost the financial situation.
In turn, that would then open the door for the club to start spending on replacing these numerous players who have already left.
As a result, it is surely still going to be busy when it comes to incomings and outgoings at the London Stadium across the rest of the summer.
