Max Dowman reacts to Fabrizio Romano message amid Viktor Gyokeres breakthrough
Viktor Gyokeres update is well-received by one of Arsenal’s outstanding academy players ahead of the upcoming season.
Arsenal have a wonderkid on their hands in the form of attacking-midfielder Max Dowman.
The 15-year-old has already caused ripples throughout the youth game, with some Gunners fans comparing him to captain Martin Odegaard.
At such a young age, the Englishman has already represented his country at Under-16 and U17 level, picking up 19 caps.
But, it has been at Arsenal the young star has made an impact, registering 17 goals and 10 assists in 22 appearances in the U18 Premier League.
The sky is the limit for the talented midfielder, who will be keeping his eye on Mikel Arteta‘s senior team in the near future, especially given he has trained with them last season.

Gyokeres deal delights Dowman
Fabrizio Romano (22 July) dropped his classic ‘Here We Go’ on Instagram, announcing the agreement between Sporting Club and Arsenal for striker Gyokeres.
Gunners fans had been waiting all summer for the finalisation of the deal with the Swede, reportedly understood to be a fee in the region of £55.1million (€63.5m).
The announcement, reporting a five-year contract for Gyokeres, caught the attention of U18 prodigy Dowman who left a like on the Instagram post.

Football Insider verdict
The landing of the Swede is a monumental moment for Arsenal football club ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been just shy of Premier League glory three years in a row and will be motivated to end their barren trophy-less run.
The signings of Noni Madueke from Chelsea and Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad have aimed to improve weak positions in the squad.

Gyokeres’ signing could be the final piece to the puzzle for the north London outfit, given Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus’ poor form up top.
The 27-year-old arrives off the back of a monstrous season in Liga Portugal, finding the back of the net 39 times in 33 matches.
Just as Romano wrote on his Instagram post, Arsenal fans should be ‘ready for the mask at the Emirates.’
