McAvennie: Celtic are chasing Euro 2020 stars as fans told to 'keep an eye out'
Frank McAvennie claims Celtic are looking to sign players who are currently taking part in Euro 2020.
The Hoops icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, speculated this is why the club are yet to make any first team signings this summer.
Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as the new boss at Parkhead which means the club have taken care of their main job this summer.
Several players are expected to leave Parkhead this summer.
Football Insider revealed on 8th June that Odsonne Edouard has agreed personal terms with Leicester and told friends he is set to leave Parkhead.
Kristoffer Ajer has also admitted to Norwegian outlet VG that “something will happen this summer” regarding his future.

However, no senior player has left or arrived at Parkhead so far this summer.
McAvennie claims players may have to leave before new faces come in but told Celtic fans to keep an eye on Euro 2020.
“There’s near enough a full team going out of Celtic,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“A lot of players need to come in. Nothing is happening at the moment, which tells me we’re looking at the players in the Euros.
“That would be great because it means they are top, top players. The fans should keep an eye out.
“But there are probably a few more players we need to get who aren’t at the Euros and we need to be working on those deals now.
“I don’t understand why some of the lads who we know are going are still here. We need to be brutal.
“The club needs money to spend and they can only do that once players go out.”
