McAvennie issues ‘shocking’ Morelos verdict after what he’s seen at Ibrox
Frank McAvennie has slaughtered Alfredo Morelos’ performance as Rangers failed to beat Hearts.
The Celtic icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the striker should have had a hat-trick at Ibrox.

The striker has scored five goals in 15 outings this season and is just one strike away from hitting 100 goals for the Gers.
McAvennie insists the Colombian should have hit that milestone against Hearts and issued another “brutally honest” verdict.
“Being brutally honest, he missed three sitters,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He didn’t even hit the target. You can understand players missing but he put one about 20 yards wide.
“I was thinking ‘what on earth was that’? He completely scuffed it.
“Seven shots? That’s shocking for a striker of his ability.
“That’s so poor for a top striker. Gerrard says he’s not happy and he needs to pull his finger out.
“I think that’s only right considering how highly rated he is by the club.
“He should have wrapped that game up but instead Rangers failed to win and that gap [at the top of the table] has shortened.”

Rangers sit one point ahead of Hearts in the Premiership table.
John Lundstram hit Rangers’ opening goal at the weekend as they struggled to secure a valuable home point.
