McAvennie shreds ‘hopeless’ Fashion Sakala as new Rangers details emerge – ‘stop making a fool of yourself’
Frank McAvennie has told Rangers to “do their talking on the pitch”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker was unimpressed by the recent comments of James Tavernier and Fashion Sakala.
As quoted by the Daily Record (19 March), Tavernier said the Gers have “way more to give” in their Old Firm clash next month.

The clubs face off for the fourth time this season at Parkhead on 8 April as Rangers look to close down the gap to their rivals.
Last month, speaking ahead of the Viaplay Cup final, Sakala referred to the Hoops as “the other mob” and claimed the Light Blues were a bigger club.
Michael Beale’s side are currently nine points behind their Glasgow rivals in the Scottish Premiership and have already lost out on the League Cup to their old foes.
McAvennie insisted Beale shouldn’t stand for the players’ comments.
“I do not like that the players are coming out and saying things,” he told Football Insider.
“Do your talking on the pitch, stop making a fool of yourself. If you say that and you get beat, it does not look good.

“Surely the manager would tell them to keep their mouth shut. Even Sakala’s comments before the final and then he was hopeless. The players just need to go out and do it.
“If I was the manager that is what I would be saying, I do not want to see any of that unless you can back it up. But Rangers are not doing that.“
