McAvennie tips Celtic to complete two last-gasp signings after confession
Frank McAvennie claims Celtic could make two more signings before the transfer window closes.
The Parkhead icon, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has been impressed with the club’s business so far this summer.
The Hoops have signed Kyogo Furuhashi, Carl Starfelt, Joe Hart, James McCarthy and Liel Abada since last season finished.

They were joined by Josip Juranovic last week as he became the latest member of Ange Postecoglou’s rebuild.
On 12th August, the Daily Record quoted Postecoglou’s “guarantee” as he said “we’re working awfully hard” to bring new players in before the window closes
McAvennie insists Celtic need new defenders and claims two deals could be done before the closing of the window.
“Celtic need a left-back and a centre half and I think we can get them,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That would do me, I would be fairly happy with that. We have recruited well but the job isn’t done.
“I’m delighted with what we have done but we are still conceding goals.
“We need that dominant centre half, goals are still going in. We are stored up-front so we need help at the back.
“Ralston and Welsh are doing well, I get that, but I still worry about them when we start to play better opposition.
“We needed an overhaul and that was always an impossible task. I can’t believe how good Celtic are looking.”

Hart, Abada and most obviously Furuhashi have all had electric starts to their Parkhead careers.
The Japan international has scored six goals in seven games.
