McLeish hails ‘brilliant’ Kent boost after confirmed Rangers news
Alex McLeish has insisted Rangers are set for a “brilliant” boost with Ryan Kent closing in on a return from injury.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Ibrox boss admitted the Light Blues had missed their “game-changer” during his absence.
As quoted by the Scotsman (22nd October), Steven Gerrard confirmed he is hoping to have the winger back for this weekend’s game against Motherwell.

Kent has missed Rangers’ last nine games across all competitions with a hamstring injury.
Gerrard admitted it has been a slow recovery process for the former Liverpool forward.
Kent struggled to impress for Rangers this season prior to his injury blow.
McLeish suggested the time out will have given him the chance to “reboot”.
He also claimed Kent’s return would be an “inspiration” for the rest of the squad.
“He has been a miss because we like to see him in action,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“He’s a game-changer, he can score goals with his right and left foot, he can provide.
“Some people are suggesting maybe he was off form a wee bit and then he got his injury. Maybe players need some rest just to kind of reboot.
“When he comes back then you would think: ‘Wow, this is brilliant, we’ve got him back.’
“Inspiration for the rest of the players. He’ll be desperate to get going again.”

Kent has contributed four assists in nine appearances this season so far.
The Gers have won five, drawn three and lost one game during his layoff.
