McLeish issues verdict on Rangers selling Glen Kamara as ‘cracker’ deal is agreed
Rangers are under no pressure to sell Glen Kamara due to the club’s financial situation.
That’s according to former Gers boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s future.
According to the Daily Mail (18 July), Galatasaray have shown interest in signing Kamara this summer.

The Turkish giants are said to be proposing a £7million offer for the Finland international, who has been a key player for the Gers in recent years.
Kamara still has three years remaining on the contract he signed at Ibrox last September.
Thanks to the record sale of Calvin Bassey to Ajax, confirmed on Wednesday (22 June), and “wealthy fans”, McLeish claims Rangers are under no pressure to sell.
“There are a lot of people out there who are still very instrumental and are putting money into Rangers,” McLeish told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild
“I have a few friends who are doing that. They are a very attractive proposition for wealthy fans, Rangers will always make money.
“These bits of business are really good. The Bassey one is a cracker. Chelsea have done that with their academy, bringing boys through and selling them. They have made a fortune doing that.
“Rangers, being in Scotland, they have to think among those lines as well.”

Kamara has made 158 appearances for Rangers since joining the club from Dundee in January 2019.
He scored four goals in 52 total outings during the 2021-22 campaign.
In other news, a pundit has urged Rangers to launch a £35million signing spree as new Calvin Bassey details emerge.
