McLeish makes 'huge' Celtic claim after Postecoglou transfer reveal
Alex McLeish has suggested Ange Postecoglou has made his mind up on who to offload from his “huge” Celtic squad before Monday’s transfer deadline.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the Bhoys could see exits, as well as incoming, over the coming days.
Speaking to Celtic TV on Monday (24 January), Postecoglou revealed he was not ruling out any late business and said he was “sure there’ll still be some activity”.
Celtic have already signed five players this month, primarily in midfield and attack.
McLeish hailed the Hoops’ board for backing Postecoglou this month.
He suggested there could now be exits on the cards before any new signings.

McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “They have given the manager a lot of scope in terms of the huge squad they have.
“It’s given him a really good idea about who he can trust front and centre and who is possibly going to be on the fringes.
“Also, who might inevitably have to leave.
“You have to say the board have backed the manager well. I think he’s reduced it to a level where he’s got a certain number of players that he can really trust.
“Whether they dip into the market or not, they have backed him really well.”
Celtic have used over 30 players across all competitions this season, not including the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie.
New arrivals Matt O’Riley and Johnny Kenny are yet to make their first appearances for the Hoops.
