Asked about the reported £15million price tag by Football Insider, the former Hoops ace said: “He’s linked with that before, they must think they’ll get that for him, with his age and everything else. It remains to be seen if they get that, recoup that money for him.
“He’s not played but you can only play 11 players. As backup, you’ve seen with injuries and different things over the season, Neil will need a squad for the season ahead. He’s not just going to use the 11 players that start every week.
“Between the qualifiers for the Champions League and the cup competitions they’ll be playing as well as the league, he’ll need a decent squad going ahead this season.”
Ntcham might have played 37 times for Celtic in the 2018/19 campaign but was used sparingly in the starting XI, lining up from the first whistle just 14 times in the Premiership.
The former Manchester City man has a total of 85 appearances under his belt for the club, having signed from the Premier League giants in the summer of 2017.
In other Celtic news, it can be REVEALED that a contract offer is set to be offered as the Hoops hunt down a Premier League defender.
