Jackie McNamara has claimed Celtic will look to sell Olivier Ntcham this summer.
Football Insider reported last month that the French midfielder, 23, is unsettled in Glasgow and is keen to move despite signing a new contract last November that runs until 2022.
McNamara tipped Ntcham to leave following a mixed season in which he failed to hit the heights of his debut campaign.
But the Scotland and Celtic legend claimed the club will not get anywhere near the £14million that Porto were reportedly prepared to pay for Ntcham last summer and again in January.
“It’s hard to say what the price tag will be, it’s hard to put a price on him,” McNamara told Football Insider. “Before, they were talking 14 million and stuff like that.
“I don’t think they’ll get near that, it would be good if they did. It’s hard to put a price on but I do think he is one they’ll be looking (at selling), if he
wants to leave. He’s been linked with a few teams now.”
Ntcham was signed from Manchester City for £4.5million in the summer of 2017.
He had an impressive debut campaign alongside Scott Brown in the heart of midfield but did not play as regularly in the recently completed campaign.
The Frenchman made 36 appearances, scoring six goals, and started just 16 SPL matches, with his status under Neil Lennon clear from the fact he was on the bench for the Scottish Cup final and semi-final.
