Rangers attacker Josh McPake has agreed the terms of a five-month loan move to Dundee as he prepares to put pen to paper, Football Insider has learned.
The Ibrox attacker, 17, has made up his mind to head to the Scottish Championship outfit and, as revealed by Football Insider, will undergo a Dens Park medical tomorrow.
Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that McPake will join Dundee initially until the January window rather than on a season-long loan.
The paperwork on the deal is set to be finalised in the next 24 hours after talks accelerated over the weekend and led to an agreement over terms today.
McPake was on the radar of so many teams after his dazzling performances for the Rangers age-group sides last season ended with him winning the club’s Academy Player of the Year award.
The teenager impressed for Steven Gerrard’s side in pre-season and made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Europa League qualifying win over St Joseph’s FC last month.
Gerrard is eager for McPake to learn his trade in senior football this season before returning to fight for an Ibrox senior spot.
In other Rangers news, a medical has been completed as club agree to pay six-figure fee for Ibrox player.
