Medical Begins: Sunderland agree to sign Tottenham star Jack Clarke – Sources
Sunderland have agreed to sign Tottenham star Jack Clarke on a permanent deal and the player has already started a medical, sources have told Football Insider.
The Black Cats have been working on a deal to re-sign Clarke, whose performances on loan last season were a key factor in the club winning promotion from League One.
Now a full agreement is in place between Sunderland and Tottenham over the fee for the winger.

Spurs have given the green light for Clarke to begin a medical with the Championship giants.
The Leeds United academy product has completed the first part of his Sunderland medical and will do the other part at the club’s pre-season training camp in Portugal.
Clarke moved to the Stadium of Light on loan for the second half of the 2021-22 campaign.
The winger made a slow start on Wearside but excelled from March onwards.
He produced a pivotal assist in the League One play-off semi-final against Sheffield Wednesday.
Across all competitions, Clarke contributed one goal and four assists in 20 appearances during the temporary spell.
Tottenham signed the attacker for a fee in the region of £10million in June 2019.
However, Clarke failed to establish himself as part of the first-team squad in north London.

Loan moves to Leeds, QPR and Stoke City would follow.
Clarke is set to become Sunderland’s third signing of the summer window following the arrivals of Leon Dajaku and Daniel Ballard.
