QPR defender Sean Goss has completed his medical at Rangers as he closes in on sealing a loan switch to Glasgow, according to a reliable journalist.
Radio Clyde senior sports reporter Alison Conroy claimed on her personal Twitter account on Wednesday that Goss, 22, is now hours away from completing his transition into becoming a Rangers player until the end of the season.

The deal is a huge breakthrough for the Light Blues, who are expected to push on in the January transfer window in order to bolster their squad ahead of the second half of the Scottish Premiership season.
It will also be Graeme Murty’s first signing as a manager after he was placed in charge until the end of the campaign after impressing the board while in caretaker charge when Pedro Caixinha was sacked.
The Scottish Sun had previously reported that Goss was on the verge of signing for the Scottish Premiership side after he was made available to leave Loftus Road by QPR manager Ian Holloway.
Since signing for the English Championship club from Manchester United in January 2017, the German-born defender, who can play at centre-back, left-back or in midfield, has only made six appearances across all competitions.
Football Insider verdict
Rangers need to crack on with getting players in this month who can benefit the first-team – not provide back-up. Goss is no better than the existing options at Ibrox and it is very unlikely he will be able to force players like David Bates, Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso or Danny Wilson out of the side. If that’s the case, one or two of those might leave and the obvious ones would likely be the two Portuguese players. Cardoso has barely played since Murty took charge while Alves has simply not met the mark expected of him. The Portuguese duo will not be missed by the Ibrox faithful, but surely they are better than Goss, who has barely played much first-team football in his career.
