Medical guru warns Man United big name after Leeds star Raphinha ‘hospitalised’ with dead leg
There is “nothing to suggest” Man United star Marcus Rashford will be unable to return from a dead leg to face Brentford tonight.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Rashford was absent with a dead leg as Man United let a 2-0 lead slip to draw 2-2 against Aston Villa on Saturday.

As per club media, Red Devils boss Ralf Rangnick claimed in his pre-match press conference (18 January) that the England international “could be available” for the Brentford clash after being involved in training this week.
Dinnery suggested Rashford may have made a lucky escape from a more severe layoff.
“It’s one of the most common injuries that I deal with on a day-to-day basis,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“The assumption is that ‘it’s just a dead leg’. Most people that I deal with who have played contact sport, primarily football, have suffered a dead leg.
“For the most part – yes, it’s painful but in four or five days you are over the worst of it.
“However, that isn’t always the case. Christian Ziege, for example, not only could have lost his leg – but also could well have lost his life.
“Just last season, Raphinha spent close to a month on the sidelines after sustaining a dead leg. He was actually hospitalised as well.

“Like any injury, there is always a differing degree of severity. There’s nothing to suggest the incident with Rashford was anything more than a painful bang on the leg.
“I think he could be available for the Brentford game – barring any complications.”
