Medical underway: Everton close on seventh summer signing - Sky
By Danny Wright
QPR teenager Josh Bowler is having a medical with Everton, according to a report.
Sky Sports claim that the Toffees have agreed a fee that could eventually be worth up to £4.25million for the midfielder, as Ronald Koeman looks close to make yet another addition to his squad.
It is understood that QPR have accepted an opening fee of £1.5million earlier this week, which could potentially more than double in the future.
Bowler is likely to become Everton’s seventh permanent signing of the summer transfer window.
He would follow in the footsteps of Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru, Sandro Ramirez, Michael Keane and Boris Mathis in moving to Goodison Park as Koeman’s revolution continues.

The report says that Bowler turned down a new contract at Loftus Park in June, which sparked Everton to intensify their lengthy pursuit of the teenager.
After moving to QPR from west London rivals Fulham in 2013 following his release, the young star only made his first Hoops appearance on the final day of last season when he featured against Norwich.
Football Insider Verdict
QPR could be on to earn a tidy profit from the Fulham drop-out, but all of that will ultimately be for Everton’s benefit. The Toffees are one of the Premier League’s leading clubs in developing youngsters and handing them first-team appearances, so a move to Goodison Park makes a whole lot of sense for Bowler. The midfielder clearly has a lot of promise and a manager like Koeman knows exactly what he is doing when he is adding young players to his squad. It’s been a very exciting transfer window on the blue half of Merseyside, but the Toffees might have to sell up to try and balance the books slight. Romelu Lukaku’s departure looks inevitable while something still has to be done about Ross Barkley’s situation as he enters the final year of his contract.
