Wolves striker Nouha Dicko is undergoing a medical at Hull City as he puts the finishing touches to a cross-Championship transfer, Football Insider sources understand.
Rivals Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers were also chasing Dicko’s signature, but Hull have moved swiftly to agree a deal with Wolves for the forward.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the France-born striker is undergoing a medical at the KCOM Stadium this morning (Tuesday) and has already agreed personal terms to join Leonid Slutsky’s side.
Hull are in the market for striking reinforcements after losing star striker Abel Hernandez to a serious Achilles injury earlier this month and Dicko has being lined up to replace him.
Dicko has been used as a substitute by new Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo in their first five Championship games, scoring the winner in the 3-2 win at Hull City earlier this month.
Wolves are willing to sell Dicko for with the club actively in the market to bring a new striker to Molineux.
News of Dicko’s imminent move to Hull will come as a blow to Leeds and QPR as both clubs search for striking reinforcements before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
In other Leeds United transfer news, the Yorkshire giants have launched a bid to sign a player from Championship rivals in the next 72 hours.
