By Matt Farr
Pundit Michael Owen believes there will be goals at White Hart Lane when Everton visit Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku share the spoils at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts this season with 17 goals each, and Owen believes that their form could inspire an entertaining affair between the two sides.
However, Owen backed Tottenham to emerge victorious from the encounter, and potentially reduce the gap on league leaders Chelsea to seven points.
In his blog for BetVictor, he said: “Both Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen limped off for Spurs against Stoke last weekend and their injuries took the gloss off what was a terrific first-half performance.
“All eyes will be on the inform strikers Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku and I expect to see goals and a home win at the Lane on Sunday.”
