Michael Owen predicts Tottenham v Leicester

By Amir Mir

Michael Owen has backed Tottenham to beat Leicester on Saturday afternoon at White Hart Lane.

TV pundit Owen has predicted Spurs to win and both teams to score, as the Premier League champions travel to north London, looking to end their horrific away form.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have lost four successive away games this term, while Spurs are the only unbeaten team in the league this season.

Former Liverpool striker Owen has revealed why he believes Mauricio Pochettino’s men will maintain that unbeaten record.

“After successive away draws at the Hawthorns and Dean Court, Spurs will be looking to pick up maximum points against the champions who have had their own troubles on the road so far this Premier League season,” Owen wrote in his BetVictor column.

“The Foxes have lost all four of their away games in the Premier League and I expect that worrying trend to continue although it promises to be an absolute cracker.”

The north London club were knocked out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, after they were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool at Anfield.

However, in the league they are fifth in the table, with 19 points, as a single point separates the top five teams.

By contrast Leicester have struggled for form in the league during this campaign, and are 12th with 11 points.

In other Tottenham team news, Martin Keown has stated why this Spurs attacker did not deserve a Ballon d’Or nomination.
