Pundit Michael Stewart has heaped huge praise on Celtic defender Kieran Tierney and made the bold claim that that he could shine in “any of the top teams in Europe”.
The 20-year-old has once again been an ever-present in the Celtic first-team squad this season, already making a total of 22 appearances.
Tierney offers a serious attacking threat from the full-back position and he has already notched up two goals this season, scoring his first league goal of the campaign in the 3-0 win over Aderdeen last week.
The youngster has also demonstrated that he can supply goals for his teammates, producing a total of four assists this season.

Writing in his column for the Scottish Sun, Stewart believes that Tierney is one of most complete players in his position in Europe.
“For me, Kieran Tierney is as good as it gets from a Scotland perspective,” he wrote.
“I just don’t see any weakness in his game.
“At no point, even in the Champions League, have you ever seen him exposed. He is top drawer.
“You could slot him into any of the top teams in Europe and he wouldn’t look out of place.
“If you were trying to put together an indentikit left-back he would be it.
“Throw in his amazing attitude and his willingness to get better and it’s not hard to see why just about every major club south of the border is looking at him.”
Tierney’s fine performances have helped Celtic extend their unbeaten run in domestic competitions to 62 matches.
The Hoops have now matched their own British record and they will look to go one further when they face St Johnstone next weekend.
Beforehand, Brendan Rodgers’ side face a tough encounter in midweek when they welcome Bayern Munich to Celtic Park for a crucial Champions League clash.
