Midfield mainstay must depart: Three players Celtic need to cash in on in the summer
STUART ARMSTRONG
Armstrong might be a mainstay of the team with 35 appearances this season before he suffered a hernia injury, but the suspicion has always been that he doesn’t see his long-term future with the Hoops.
His ‘two-year’ contract signed at the start of the season has just ended up repeating the scenario of last season where the player is entering into the last year of his contract.
Unlike last season where the 25-year-old was in the form of his life, this season Armstrong has only scored four goals so far this season and the Hoops would be well-advised to cash-in on a player who may never reach the heights of 2016-17 ever again.
