Better than Vieira: Three Sheffield Wednesday players that could cause havoc v Leeds
COMMENT by Amir Mir
Football Insider identifies the three Sheffield Wednesday players that could cause havoc against Leeds on Saturday afternoon at Elland Road.
Fernando Forestieri – Whenever Carlos Carvalhal’s team are on song, Foresteiri is usually the player orchestrating their attack. His directness, speed, and ability on the ball could prove to be a handful for the experienced centre-back duo of Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley. Garry Monk will be hoping his players are quick enough to pick up his movement, else a small amount of space can see Foresteiri produce a moment of magic.
Keiran Westwood – The Wednesday keeper is one of the most underrated players in the league and he has proven that on a number of occasions this term. Whites striker Chris Wood will be a handful for Wednesday’s defensive line and Westwood will have to be on his toes to stop his threat. Elland Road will be packed out, but his calmness between the sticks could be crucial to his team picking up all three points.
Barry Bannan – The former Aston Villa academy product epitomises the energetic Sheffield Wednesday team. His movement and technical ability is one of the main reasons why he is better than Leeds midfielder Ronaldo Vieira. Bannan will be a huge threat for Monk’s team and if the Whites don’t stop him then he will create and open up space for his attackers.
In other Leeds news, supporters will be surprised by this Eric Cantona comment.
