‘Mikel Arteta fuming with Arsenal hierarchy after being let down’ – fans erupt

Arsenal supporters believe that Mikel Arteta is fuming with the club’s hierarchy and was “let down” during the January transfer window by a lack of investment into the team.

The Gunners had been looking at attacking options during the transfer window due to injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, but failed to bring anyone In as the club made zero signings.

Arsenal did allow Ayden Heaven, Josh Robinson, and Marquinhos to leave the Emirates Stadium, but the lack of incomings is something Arteta discussed during his recent press conference.

He said, “We had a clear intention which is always, there is a window to explore opportunities to improve our squad with players that can impact it, we haven’t achieved it so we are disappointed in that sense.

“But as well, we are very aware that we only want to bring certain kind of players and we have to be very disciplined with that as well, and we were.”

Arteta’s side are currently six points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool, with the Reds boasting a game in hand over their title rivals.

Arsenal fans believe Mikel Arteta wasn’t backed

Arsenal had attempted to sign Ollie Watkins at the end of the January transfer window, with Football Insider revealing that the club was trying to play on his heartstrings due to the Aston Villa striker being a boyhood Gunners fan.

No deal was struck for the 29-year-old, and fans are frustrated about it even though industry insider Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Arsenal are expected to revisit that deal in the summer.

The Gunners faithful have claimed Arteta received “zero support” and that the “board failed him” in the transfer market.
