It is believed the 42-year-old is in ongoing talks with the Gunners, with negotiations progressing nicely.
Both parties are happy and want to continue together in a bid to bring the Premier League title back to Arsenal.

The Spaniard’s current contract only runs until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Arteta started his post-playing career at Man City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant before taking the hot seat at the Emirates Stadium in 2019.
He won the FA Cup in 2020 and has emerged victorious in 140 of his 231 matches in charge of Arsenal.
