Mills: Liverpool may have found perfect Henderson replacement after Times transfer news
Jude Bellingham could be a “direct replacement for Jordan Henderson” at Liverpool, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Manchester City and England defender admitted he was surprised nobody tried to sign Bellingham during the summer transfer window.
The Times‘ Paul Joyce reported (September 7) Liverpool, along with Man City, Man United and Chelsea, have a “significant interest” in the 18-year-old.

It is claimed Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to sell next summer and he may stay at the club until 2023.
However, Mills claimed he would be surprised if he does not leave the Bundesliga giants next year.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “He’s a direct replacement for Jordan Henderson.
“A box-to-box midfield player, quality on the ball, energetic, technically he’s very good.
“Jude Bellingham, I think, is going to be an absolute star. He’s now got quite a bit of experience.
“I’m very surprised nobody went in for him this year. Even if it was a case of them signing him and leaving him with Dortmund for a year.
“I’d be very surprised if something doesn’t happen with him next summer.
“He’s a real quality player and if he keeps progressing the way that he’s doing…
“Does he get in the Manchester City side? Probably. Does he get in the Chelsea side? Probably. And in a year’s time…He gets in all those teams.”

Bellingham started alongside Henderson as he won his eighth England cap against Andorra at Wembley last weekend.
The Liverpool captain labelled his midfield partner, via Sky Sports, as “a fantastic player”.
