Mills makes Celtic January prediction after £20m Edouard reveal
Danny Mills has suggested Celtic will be planning for the January transfer window after Odsonne Edouard sealed a move away.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League and England defender claimed Ange Postecoglou will not be too pleased he has lost a key player shortly after losing the first Old Firm derby of the season.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on September 1 Celtic could pocket up to £20million from that deal that saw Edouard head to Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman had just 12 months left to run on his contract and was therefore set to leave for free next summer.
“We’ve talked about it several times, why is he still there? Is he going to go? Is he not going to go?” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“They’ve got their money in now.
“They’ve had a big turnaround over the course of the summer. Postecoglou has now got to knuckle down and get the team playing well.
“It doesn’t help when you lose an Old Firm game and then you lose a couple of good players.
“Celtic have just got to make sure they deal with that, move on, get it sorted and keep going.
“You can now plan ahead. That’s the most important thing.
“You might not like it, you’ve lost these good players. But at least now there’s no ‘What if?’
“At least now there’s certainty and you can deal with that.”

Edouard scored 86 times and provided 39 assists in 179 games across all competitions for Celtic.
The 23-year-old scored three goals and contributed two assists in 11 appearances this season.
