Mills: Rodrigo set for Leeds recall as Man City tipped to make eight changes

Danny Mills has tipped Rodrigo Moreno to return to the Leeds United starting XI in place of Jack Harrison against Manchester City on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and City defender suggested the Spaniard’s inclusion could push Tyler Roberts out wide as he tipped the Citizens to make up to eight changes.

Harrison is ineligible to face his parent club in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off at the Etihad Stadium.

Rodrigo has not started a game for the Whites since suffering a groin injury in their 3-1 victory over Leicester City at the end of January.

The 30-year-old has come off the bench in three of their last four games but Mills has suggested it could be time for him to start.

He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “What we do know is that Bielsa will conjure up something. He will find something within that.

“You have to look at it and think ‘What are Man City going to do?’ because they’ve got a hugely important cup game coming up in the Champions League. It’s not cut and dry.

“They’ve pretty much won the league and it wouldn’t surprise me if Pep makes seven or eight changes for the game. That doesn’t necessarily weaken the side as that could be Jesus, Aguero and Sterling coming into the line-up. It’s not bad for your second choice.

“Harrison’s out, he can’t play. It could be Rodrigo drops into the middle and then Tyler Roberts or Stuart Dallas could go wide. There are one or two options that Bielsa has got.”
