Mills shares 'first-hand' Everton claim straight from training ground amid Townsend verdict
Andros Townsend’s brilliant attitude to training has been “infectious” at Everton, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England star, whose son Stan, 17, is a professional at Everton and regularly trains with the first-team, insisted Townsend has been a “really good signing”.
The winger moved to Goodison Park on a free transfer over the summer after he left Crystal Palace.
He has been a revelation on Merseyside and has already scored five times and contributed three assists in nine games across all competitions.
Towsend and Demarai Gray were the club’s only major additions over the summer.
An Everton source told Football Insider (October 11) they will again be under strict budget constraints in the winter window due to Premier League rules.

Rafa Benitez will again target loan players or cut-price deals.
“Obviously Gray and Townsend have looked superb,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“I know it first-hand that his work rate, his desire, his competitiveness to win things in training, to work harder than everybody else in training is infectious.
“Forget about him scoring goals, to bring in a player that does that is a great piece of business, no matter what.
“You have to say that’s been a really good signing.”
Townsend, 30, is under contract with the Blues until the summer of 2023.
The former England international won the Premier League’s goal of the month award for September after his wonder goal against Burnley.
