Mills tells Buendia to sign for Aston Villa ahead of Arsenal after source's update today
Danny Mills has suggested Aston Villa are a more attractive club than Arsenal for Emiliano Buendia.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League and England full-back slammed Arsenal’s “scattergun” approach that leaves “a lot of unanswered questions”.
An Aston Villa source has told Football Insider today the club are increasingly confident they have edged ahead of the Gunners in the race to sign Buendia.
This site revealed on 25th May that the Midlands outfit had opened preliminary talks via third parties over a potential deal.
Arsenal have been long-term admirers of the right-sided attacker and lodged an enquiry over his ability in January that was knocked back.
Asked which of the clubs Buendia would prefer, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “You want to play, that’s the most important thing.

“Villa are probably looking at it as a replacement for Ross Barkley. Jack Grealish could even move on at some point.
“Arsenal, it’s a little bit scattergun. We’re not really sure what’s going on at Arsenal at the moment. We don’t know what direction they’re heading in, what style of play they’re going to play. There’s a lot of unanswered questions.
“On the face of it in terms of stability Arsenal were back in the day a bigger club and had better prospects. But actually, you need stability and you want to play and actually, that would be Villa.”
Arsenal finished in eighth this season meaning they will be without European football for the first time in 25 years.
Villa finished six points behind in 11th-place and won both of their games against the Gunners.
