Mills: This may be real reason for Goldson’s Rangers struggles
Danny Mills fears Connor Goldson’s contract situation at Rangers is the cause of his indifferent form this season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Man City and England defender suggested the 28-year-old may be unsettled by the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Goldson has less than 12 months let on his contract at Ibrox and would be free to agree a pre-contract with foreign clubs from January.

As reported by Sky Sports on August 6th, the centre-half revealed he is open to extending his stay in Glasgow and confirmed his representatives are in talks with the club.
An ever-present for Steven Gerrard’s side last season, Goldson endured a difficult start to the 2021-22 campaign prior to his goal at Ross County on Sunday.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley whether contract uncertainty could be effecting the defender, Mills said: “Definitely.
“In an ideal world a player wants to be settled at a club where he feel wanted and loved. Football can be very up and down at times so you want to have a settled home environment.
“Anything that disrupts that can have a knock-on effect.

“If the club are not willing to pay you a wage will you feel you deserve and that is not extortionate you start to think, ‘Do they really want me here? If they don’t, why don’t they?’
“Then a bad performance comes along and the crowd get on your back. It can perpetuate itself.”
