Milos Kerkez reacts to Dominik Szoboszlai’s ‘see you’ message after Liverpool reveal

Milos Kerkez may have fuelled speculation after reacting to Dominik Szoboszlai’s latest post amid growing links to Liverpool.

Szoboszlai enjoyed a strong campaign under Arne Slot, playing a key role in the side that clinched the league title. The Hungarian midfielder was a consistent presence, making 49 appearances across all competitions and contributing to 17 goals and assists.

He formed part of a dominant midfield trio alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, helping Liverpool maintain control in key moments throughout the season to win the title.

But his influence may extend beyond the pitch. Back in March, Football Insider reported that Szoboszlai is playing an active role in Liverpool’s pursuit of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.

Now, with the summer transfer window officially open, speculation has intensified after Kerkez responded to Szoboszlai’s recent social media post, a move many may see as a subtle nod to a potential link-up at Anfield.

Milos Kerkez responds as Hungary suffer defeat to Sweden

Despite the ongoing transfer speculation, players have turned their focus to international duty over the summer break.

Szoboszlai featured for Hungary in a disappointing 2–0 defeat to Sweden in a friendly, falling short of expectations just months before the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

He took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with fans, writing: “Yesterday did not go the way we wanted it, but victory is always our goal. This will not be any different on Tuesday and in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Thank you for your support. See you in September!”

Kerkez, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, once again showed support for his national teammate by liking the post—adding further fuel to the speculation surrounding a potential reunion at Anfield.

Other Liverpool stars also reacted, including Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez—who himself has been linked with a summer exit from the club.

Football Insider reported that Liverpool are prepared to meet Bournemouth’s £45 million valuation for Kerkez, who contributed to eight goals and assists last season and has quickly become one of the most highly rated young full-backs in the Premier League.

As talks over a move for Kerkez progress, the Reds are also pressing ahead with plans to land one of Europe’s most exciting midfielders in Florian Wirtz.

Liverpool recently had a bid exceeding £100 million rejected for Bayer Leverkusen’s Wirtz, but remain confident that a third offer will finally seal the deal.

It’s a clear signal of intent from the Liverpool hierarchy, who appear fully committed to backing coach Slot in reshaping the squad as the rebuild at Anfield is beginning to gather serious momentum.
