Milos Kerkez reacts to ‘outrageous’ Bournemouth message after Liverpool exit

Milos Kerkez has responded to Bournemouth’s Instagram post following his departure from the club to the Premier League winners.

After a sensational second season under Andoni Iraola, the Cherries look to press on to end the season even higher than the ninth position last time out.

The south coast side is packed full of stars, which has been rightly raided this summer leaving the club in a perilous position.

Having lost defensive starboy Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, Bournemouth also lost Hungarian Kerkez to Premier League champions Liverpool.

The 21-year-old was vital for the Cherries last campaign, playing every game in the league, notching two goals and five assists along the way.

Iraola acted fast to replace the marauding left-back, bringing in Rennes full-back Adrien Truffert to rebuild the left-hand side.

Ahead of their second pre-season friendly against Everton as part of the Premier League Summer Series, the Frenchman will be keen to get some minutes under his belt and impress his new employer.

Marcus Tavernier delivers beautiful pass at Bournemouth camp

In an Instagram (24 July) post from Bournemouth, a clip of the Cherries pre-season training captured Marcus Tavernier executing a beautiful long-range pass with the caption “Outrageous from Tav”.

In a stop-start-season for the Englishman last campaign due to niggling injuries, the 26-year-old will be looking to bring this array of passing to the Premier League in August.

Former teammate Kerkez liked the post, demonstrating his continued connection to the south coast side.

Bournemouth to brace for a bumpy season

Although they have managed to keep hold of core players such as Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo, Iraola will be frustrated with the recruitment so far.

Considering the Cherries have accrued nearly £100million in sales, the Spaniard hasn’t received much investment to strengthen his side barring Truffert and Dorde Petrovic from Chelsea.

Bournemouth suffered during parts of the season due to injuries, with their paper-thin squad calling on youth players to make up the numbers on the bench.

Kerkez and Huijsen’s departures leave Iraola depleted at the back which could be exacerbated with the interest of Tottenham and PSG in signing Illia Zabarnyi.
