Milos Kerkez responds to Illia Zabarnyi’s Bournemouth message amid Liverpool rumours

Milos Kerkez could be the next player to leave Bournemouth this summer, and the Hungarian has taken to social media to react to teammate Illia Zabarnyi’s recent message.

The Cherries impressed many around the footballing world last season, recording their best-ever Premier League points total on the way to a 9th-place finish.

However, their success has come at a cost, as the giants of European football have now come calling in an attempt to lure some of their most important players away from the south coast.

It has already been confirmed that Dean Huijsen has joined Real Madrid, and that could just be the start of the outgoings at Bournemouth.

Kerkez reacts to Zabarnyi amid Liverpool interest

Liverpool are heavily linked with Kerkez, and the Reds are reportedly happy to meet Bournemouth’s £45million price tag to secure the services of the defender.

The Hungary international started every single game for the Cherries last season, proving he has the level of consistency needed to be a top full-back.

Another stalwart in Iraola’s backline was Zabarnyi, also featuring in every single league game, bar the two that he was suspended for.

The Ukrainian centre back took to Instagram to reflect on a successful campaign on the south coast, sharing a compilation video of his best moments, with the caption: “24/25.”

Kerkez was quick to respond and show some love to his fellow Cherries defender, commenting: “Big Zab.”

‘Underrated’ Kerkez can shine at Liverpool

Football Insider Verdict

Kerkez joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023, and it was immediately apparent that he had masses of potential.

In his maiden Premier League campaign, the full-back showcased his superb attacking abilities, often flying down the left-hand side to contribute to attacks.

However, this season Kerkez’s game has gone to another level, and it seems like Iraola has moulded the Hungarian into a better all-round player.

All the attention is on the 21-year-old’s attacking abilities, but over the past year the left-back has improved considerably in the defensive aspect of his game, a quality of his which is hugely underrated.

Kerkez has a higher level of concentration and awareness now, and there is no doubt that if his move to Liverpool is confirmed, he will flourish.
