Mohamed Salah £100m fee to go into his wages when he quits Liverpool – pundit

Mohamed Salah could land another £100million in wages if he stays at Liverpool another year and then moves to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham, Leeds and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson claimed that this summer is the club’s last chance to sell the 31-year-old.

Sources told Football Insider on Sunday (28 April) that bidding for the attacker will start at £100million and could rise to £150million this summer, with the Reds braced for offers from Saudi Pro League clubs.

Salah has a contract at Anfield until 2025, with the attacker having registered 24 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season.

Pundit reveals new £100m Liverpool twist

The Egypt international had been a key player under Jurgen Klopp for the majority of the season, helping the Reds in various competitions.

But the winger has lately been utilised from the bench, and was involved in a bust-up with his manager against West Ham last month.

“This is their last chance to sell Salah,” he told the Inside Track podcast. “Does Salah actually want to go this year?

“There is another twist on that actually, because if Salah doesn’t go this year, that £100million will then get put into his wages in 12 months’ time.

“Rather than the Saudis having to pay a £100million transfer fee for him, all of a sudden his wages are maximised in 12 months’ time.

Liverpool

“So does Salah see an opportunity to stay at Liverpool for 12 months, not resigning, and then taking the bigger wages in Saudi? There is a possibility of that.”
