Liverpool supporters feel that offering Mohamed Salah a new contract is a “no-brainer” after Arne Slot’s latest comments about the right winger.
During his pre-match press conference Slot said, “For some players, Cristiano Ronaldo, what age is he at the moment? He’s still doing really well, [Lionel] Messi is still incredible.
“I don’t know what the future will bring, but what I do know is that Mo is in a very good place at the moment.”
Slot made it clear he doesn’t believe Salah is dropping in terms of performance and believes that he could go on to perform at the top level for as long as Ronaldo and Messi have done.
The Egypt international’s current Anfield deal expires at the end of this season, which has raised questions about his long-term future.
The 32-year-old has scored nine goals and provided seven assists this season in 15 appearances across all competitions.
