Mohamed Salah could exit Liverpool next year after Egyptian journalist’s transfer update – pundit

Kevin Campbell has suggested Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain could swap Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe next year.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League striker added that there would have to be money involved in the swap from Liverpool’s side.

According to Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud (11 October), Paris Saint-Germain would be opening to selling their unsettled star Mbappe, 23, in part-exchange for Salah, 30.

Mbappe currently has three years left on his contract at the Parc des Princes after signing an extension in the summer.

Salah also has three years left on his deal at Anfield after extending his contract in June.

When asked if a swap deal between the two clubs was likely, Campbell told Football Insider: “I will never say never in football.

But, for that to happen, it would be interesting to find out the pricing. It is not just a straight swap there is going to have to be some money.

Kylian Mbappe’s age and look where Salah is. It is actually an interesting exercise to think about. What would Salah’s price be, what would they sell Mbappe at?
