
Mohamed Salah: Liverpool star has agreed Saudi move – ‘contracts signed’
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has signed a contract to join the Saudi Pro League, former Tottenham, and West Ham striker Mido has sensationally claimed.
The now-retired Egyptian legend, 41, took to X on Tuesday (27 February) to claim Salah has “signed contracts” for the 2024-25 campaign – including the hashtag for Saudi Arabia’s top league.
Salah has been widely linked with a move to the Middle East ever since the Pro League emerged as a destination for some of the world’s top footballers.
Football Insider previously revealed in November 2023 that Salah has verbally agreed to join the Saudi Arabia’s increasing ranks of elite stars later this year.
Salah ‘signs contract’ in Saudi Arabia, says Egypt legend
Mido, who made 94 Premier League appearances during his playing career and has previously managed in Saudi Arabia, has now claimed the 31-year-old has agreed to leave Liverpool.
Salah is under contract at Anfield until June 2025 after signing his last extension in the summer of 2022.
He has continued to play at the top of his game so far in the 2023-24 campaign despite his advancing years.

The 96-cap Egypt international has hit 19 goals and 10 assists in 28 games across all competitions so far this season.
He joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has won the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup during his time at the club – scoring 205 goals in the process.
