Mohamed Salah: New Liverpool asking price revealed as Saudi contract ‘signed’
Liverpool will have no problem replacing club legend Mohamed Salah this summer should he leave for Saudi Arabia, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider relayed on Wednesday (28 February) via Egypt legend Mido that Salah has “signed a contract” to join the Saudi Pro League later this year.
Liverpool feel replacing Salah will be tricky if a move to the Middle East does in fact proceed, given his unbelievable output since joining from Roma in 2017.
However, the Reds will only be willing to allow him to leave for a mega-money fee well in excess of £100million – meaning they will have the funds to replace him in the transfer market.
Liverpool ready to search for ‘mega-money’ Salah replacement
Salah will have just 12 months left to run on his contract at Anfield in June after signing his last extension in the summer of 2022.
The Egypt international, who will turn 32 in June, has continued to play at the top of his game so far in the 2023-24 campaign despite his advancing years.
He has managed 19 goals and 10 assists in 28 games across all competitions so far this season.
The forward has managed 205 total goals for the Reds – putting him fifth on the list of the club’s all-time scorers.

Football Insider has previously revealed (12 February) that Liverpool could swoop for Wolves star Pedro Neto as a long-term Salah replacement.
It is believed Neto could cost around £50-60million this summer.
