Mohamed Salah ‘will certainly join new club in January’ after ‘Liverpool price reduced’
Mohamed Salah could be heading for a Liverpool exit following his public fallout at Anfield.
Salah hit the headlines following his controversial comments in an interview after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United on 6 December.
Salah admitted he has no relationship with Arne Slot after he was named on the bench for a third match in a row.
Football Insider revealed on 7 December Saudi Pro League sides are expected to make offers to sign Salah in the January transfer window.
The Egypt international was left out of Liverpool’s squad for the 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday (9 December).
Mohamed Salah slammed after ‘uneccessary’ Liverpool statement
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Salah appears to want out of Liverpool following his “ill-judged” comments.
Salah only signed a new two-year contract at Liverpool in April, extending his deal at Anfield until June 2027.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the winger’s interview, Borson said: “I just think it’s unnecessary, to be honest.
“He’s not played well. He’s on the bench. I mean, it’s not that big of a deal.
“Even the games where he wasn’t brought on, they weren’t particularly suited for attacking players that come on and one that probably doesn’t retain the ball as well as some other players.”

There was talk earlier this year of Salah receiving a stake in Al-Hilal if he decided to move to Saudi before extending his contract with Slot’s side.
Salah has reduced his price for new club
Borson insisted the 33-year-old’s comments will have reduced the price for any potential buying club.
“I just think it’s very ill-judged, but you have to assume he wants to leave,” said Borson.
“We know what footballers do when they want to leave a football club. They try and make it as unpalatable for the selling club as possible, and it reduces the price for the buying club, which therefore leaves more money in the economics for the player themselves.

“I suspect that’s what’s going on here. I think he almost certainly will end up in Saudi Arabia during January.”
Salah, who has played just 45 minutes in the past three Premier League games, has registered five goals and three assists in 19 appearances this season.
