Mohamed Salah’s stance on Chelsea move revealed by Liverpool source
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is not expected to return to Chelsea next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that a move to Chelsea would be “pretty fancible.”
A report from The Athletic claimed that the 32-year-old could consider returning to Stamford Bridge when his Liverpool contract expires.
Salah is in the final year of his current Anfield deal, and his future with the Reds remains unclear.
However, sources believe that it is more likely that Salah would make a move to Saudi Arabia if he were to leave his current club.
It is believed that the Egypt international would be the “poster boy” of the Saudi Pro League if he was to join a club in that division.
Liverpool will face competition from the Saudi Pro League for Mohamed Salah’s future
Even though a move to Chelsea is unlikely, sources claim that Salah could command any personal terms he wants in Saudi Arabia.
There will be a significant financial offer available to the Liverpool star if he doesn’t sign a new Liverpool deal.
However, the Premier League giants will meet with Salah later this season to discuss the possibility of a new contract.

Salah has made 350 appearances for the Reds, scoring 212 goals and providing 90 assists during his time at the club.
The wide forward has made an impressive start to the 2024-25 campaign, registering a goal and an assist in Liverpool’s Premier League curtain-raiser against Ipswich Town.
